jessica jones is not for kids. it deals with a lot of triggering topics. as psyched as i was for seeing jessica jones get a series, supergirl is more kid friendly and less triggering. considering how few shows center around a female superhero (supergirl and jessica jones are currently the only non-ensemble cast shows on air now), it’s nice to see an option. 

i like having an option between watching a gritty noir superhero drama and then switch gears to a more light hearted show. 

this is what women mean when talking about seeing more female lead shows. you now have options of what to watch.

it’s refreshing and i hope this opens the door to more. because we need to see more diversity for female lead shows
